Our Legacy
In March 2023, Anderson Outreach received 501(c) 3 status. Our non-profit was established to continue to fulfill the vision and heart of our founder, Alfred Owens. Alfred, the son of the Baptist Minister, endeavors to build legacy that enhances the community, and prepares children and youth educationally and socially for success. His mission has always included children who are impacted economically and with mental health diagnosis. Anderson is named for a caring husband, present father, and Baptist Minister, “Reverend Anderson Owens” who often encouraged his children and congregation to see the importance of blessing others by “giving back.” He often referred to giving as living life “with an open hand” and a focus on other’s needs, not just their own. In the spirit of his compassionate heart, we exist to serve the underserved and elevate the necessary skills youth need to thrive and add value to their respective communities.
